What is dua?
Supplication or dua is the beautiful form of prayer the religion of Islam provides. You speak to the Mighty Creator, ask for forgiveness or demand anything in life or hereafter. According to Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم),
“Dua is the very essence of worship.” You can make a dua anytime anywhere. But some places as described by the book, “Ahsan-ul-Wi’a li Adab-id–Dua” are so blessed that if you utter a word of dua and it will be accepted.
Places where dua is accepted for sure
Hajj and Umrah are the supreme forms of prayer. But within these strenuous exercises, you find places where duas are accepted without a doubt.
1). Inside the Sacred Kabaa
Praying inside the Kabah is the most blissful. However, any ordinary person is not allowed to go inside it except the rulers, kings and government officials. It is often opened for cleaning.
2). Mataf
The area outside Kabah where the pilgrims take seven rounds is called Mataf. Allah’s blessing is showered there 24/7.

3). Hijr-e-Aswad
The black stone came from Heaven to Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) o be placed at one corner of Kabah. If you get a chance to kiss it make sure to make a dua.

4). Ruqn-e-Yamani
To the opposite corner of Hijr e Aswad is present Ruqn e Yamai. It is directed towards Yemen and is the place where Hazrat Ali (R.A) was born. Make sure to pray at this sacred place.

5). Mizab-e-Rehmat
The golden pipe at the top of Kabah between Rukn e Iraqi and Rukn e Shami is called Mizab e Rehmat. Rainwater falls from it is thought to be very pure and blissful. Supplication is recommended to be made.
6). Maqam-e-Ibrahim
The Holy Sunnah narrates pilgrims to pray two Rakah Nafal behind Maqam e Ibrahim after the completion of Tawaf and make dua for Allah’s blessings.

7). Multazim
The area between Hijr e Aswad and door of Kabah is called Multazim. It is also known as confession area. Pilgrims are advised to confess their sins and pray for forgiveness here.

8). Hateem
It is the region at Mataf covered with small walls with a door to its entrance. Earlier it was a part of Holy Kabah. One who offers two Rakah here is the same as performing inside Kabah.

9). The First glance of Kabah
According to Abu Hanifah, the first glance of Kabah before the blink is the high time for acceptance of duas.
10). Zamzam well
The well of Zamzam water is a miracle and is a blessed area. It is difficult to pray there due to water pipes but if got a chance one should make a dua there.

11). Safa and Marwa
Dua made at the two sacred hills where Bibi Hajra (R.A) ran for water for his little child, Hazrat Ismail (A.S) are accepted.

12). Mina
The stay at Mina is the high time for praying and asking for forgiveness.

13). Muzdalifa
It is another place for Hajj pilgrims to stay. Duas are accepted here and must be made.

14). Arafat
The visit to the hill of Arafat on 9th of Zillhijj is the best time to make a dua as Allah showers his blessings on this day and especially on this location.

15). Masjid e Nabwi
One of the most blessed places is Masjid e Nabwi which was not only built by Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) but spent his 10 years there. Supplications made there are accepted for sure.

16). Sacred places
The different places in Masjid e Nabwi like Mimbar e Rasool, Golden grills, blessed pillars and the shrine of Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and his companions are blessed areas where Duas should be made for acceptance.
