Scientists have found out that delta variant of Covid-19 is more transmissible and more aggressive than any other variants of the virus. It is spreading 50% quicker than its initial counterparts.

If you are not wearing masks, then studies found out that individual infected with the original coronavirus strain will be 2.5 whereas with delta variant the number increases three or four more.

According to the research, the Delta variation of Covid-19 not only transmits more easily between individuals, but also disseminate the virus to others faster than the original variant of the new coronavirus.

Even though being only a variation to the original virus yet it less likely causes people have cough or feel loss of smell. However, the most of the symptoms are similar to Covid-19 infection such as:

  • Runny Nose
  • Fever

Are Vaccinated People Safe From Delta Variant of Covid-19?

Chances of severity if contracted with delta variant of Covid-19 are quite low but to say that it is safe for vaccinated people to stop wearing facemasks, using sanitizers, maintain social distancing is wrong. Which Vaccines can Combat Delta Variant of Covid-19?

Two (2) vaccines are suggested by researchers as the optimum choice to combat delta variant of Covid-19. They include:

  1. Pfizer-BioNTech
  2. Oxford-AstraZeneca

The first is 88% effective against symptoms and 96% from hospitalization whereas the latter is 60% effective and 93% protection from hospital stays.
