Clarification on Payment of Full Dependent Fees by Saudi Jawazat

The Saudi Government implemented dependent fees on all the Saudi expats living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the start of the new development plan. Recently, the Saudi Passport Department (Saudi Jawazat) has said that the renewal of Saudi Iqama will not be done without paying the full dependents fees. To know more, read the article below.

The News about Extending of the Stay without Dependent Fee

Several people thought that their stay, including their family, was extended for three (3) months in March 2020 and again extended for next three (3) months without any fee in compliance with the royal decree. So, they have to pay the fee for the next 6 months only. However, the Saudi Jawazat denied all of these assumptions in a statement.

What Statement was Given by the Saudi Jawazat?

According to the local newspapers, the passport department (Saudi Jawazat) said on its Twitter account that,

These people are misunderstood in this regard. The Saudi Iqama will not be extended without paying full dependent fees. (i.e. 12 months)

How will the Fees be Collected?

When will be the Fees Taken?

It should be noted that Saudi expat workers of private companies have to pay monthly fees to their family members, parents, mother-in-law, father-in-law and this fee will be taken in advance of the whole year at the time of renewal of Saudi Iqama.
