In the Light of Hadith: The Benefits of First 10 Days of Dhul Al-Hijjah

It is a blessing for every Muslim to live in the days of Dhul Al-Hijjah as they are one the most supreme days. Most of us are usually busy in our lives and many people are unable to pray the daily five (5) prayers.

We ignore the call of prayers the recitation of the Holy Quran and we also perform bad deeds. But Allah has granted us Muslims some days in which He calls Muslims to come and  again strengthen the bond between them and the Creator.

The Main Aim of Ramadan and Sacred Days

Ramadan just passed two (2) months ago in which every person more or less strengthened his bond with his Creator. But then most of us weakens the bond again in the months of Shawwal and Zul Qadh but now we are gifted with the days of Dhul Al-Hijjah. The benefits of these days are not available in any other months. According to Sunnah if a person is willing to sacrifice on Eid Ul Adha, then they must not trim their hair or cut their nails.

The 10 days of Dhul Al-Hijjah are the Most Sacred Days

The Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said,

No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Al-Hijjah).

The Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) also said:

“There are no days more beloved to Allah that he be worshipped in them than the ten days of Dhul Al-Hijjah, fasting every day of them is equivalent to fasting a year, and standing every night of them (in Salah) is equivalent to standing on the Night of Qadr.”

These are the rewards of the first 10 days of Dhul Al-Hijjah.

Benefits of fasting on 9th of Dhul Al-Hijjah

According to Hadith the fast on 9th Dhul Al-Hijjah will diminish your bad deeds (Kabira and Saghira) done the year before and the year after the fast. But keep in mind that the Haqooq Ul-Ibad is not forgiven. As they are the deed performed towards mankind.

These are the benefits of fasting and worshipping in the first ten days of Dhul Al-Hijjah. May Allah bless all of us with the benefits of these days and encourage each other to strengthen the bond with our Creator. May you find the article helpful. For more interesting articles visit our website.
