King Salman Orders to Allow Saudi Expats to Travel Their Home Country on Exit Re-Entry & Final Exit Visa

A global outbreak of Coronavirus has banned all travel platforms worldwide, following which the aviation service was suspended in Saudi Arabia. Lock-down was also imposed completely or partially in all cities of Saudi Arabia. Due this all, Saudi expats were trapped in Saudi Arabia for the time being.

In view of the current situation in the state, the Ministry of Interior has made special arrangements for Saudi expats who wish to leave their country and have obtained final exit or re-entry visas, in this regard, registering with the ‘Abshar’ Account. To know more this read the article below.

Statement by Saudi Interior Minister

The Saudi Interior Ministry made a statement regarding their returns. According to that,

Saudi expatriates who have obtained ‘exit re-entry’ or ‘final exit’ visas and wish to return to their country. Register your ‘Abshar’ account immediately.

Arrangements made for People to Travel

Saudi news agency SPA quoted the Interior Ministry statement as saying that,

Special arrangements have been made for Saudi expatriates living in the Kingdom that have obtained visas for final exit or exit re-entry, but they are unable to travel by air due to the Coronavirus.



 

According the above statement, special arrangements are being made for them to return home as several restrictions were imposed.

The statement further said that,

Those wishing to return to the country should immediately fill their information to the Ministry of Interior’s digital account’ Abshar ‘to deal with their issues.

What did the Interior Minister Said?

The Interior Ministry says,

Special arrangements are being made for those wishing to return home to the relevant government agencies. Travel arrangements will be made after review of applications received on the external account.



How will they be Notified?

The Interior Minister further added that, After arranging the air services for the travel of Saudi expats and confirming the flight, the applicant will be notified via SMS on his mobile phone which will indicate the flight number and departure location after which the passenger is booked for travel. You have to buy a ticket accordingly.

What will be the Application Procedure?

The Ministry of Interior explained the application procedure for returning to the Abshar account, stating that Saudi expats will log in to their personal Abshar Account after browsing the’ Auda (Return) expatriates can enter their details like

  1. Saudi Iqama number.
  2. Date of Birth.
  3. Mobile number.
  4. Departure and Place of entry
  5. Name of the Designated Country & city.



Which Airports will Operate these Flights?

The Interior Minister also classified all the airports that would be operating for the departure. The cities from which special flights will be operated are reserved for King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Shah Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, Prince Muhammad International Airport in Madina and Prince Muhammad bin Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

Special Permits for Travelers

The statement further said that special permits will be issued to travelers residing in other cities so that they can reach the nearest city airport before departure.
