A Sad and Tragic Incident
Not only the Muslims but also the humanity has expressed its dissent and declared a complete state of mourning on the killings of 49 Muslim worshipers and wounding of dozens on Friday dated March 19, 2019 by the “right-wing extremist” armed with semi-automatic weapons. The attacker planned this brutal incidents in two mosques in the quiet New Zealand city of Christchurch during afternoon Friday prayers.
Live-Streamed Footage of Shooting on Social Media
The attacker live-streamed footage of him during the shooting. A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder. He is set to appear at the Christchurch District Court early Saturday. Two other men remain in custody, although their link to the attack is unknown. The chief suspect allegedly published a racist “manifesto” on social media before the attack, sharing the conspiracy theories about the Europeans being displaced, and details of two years of preparation and radicalization leading up to the shootings. A very courageous Pakistani man who actually died during the Christchurch terrorist attack is being declared a hero after he tried to stop the shooting by launching himself in front of the gunman.
The Pakistani man who actually launched himself in front of the attacker is named as Naeem Rashid. He moved from Abbottabad to New Zealand to work as a teacher, was present at the Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch along with his 21-year-old son, Talha Naeem, for Friday prayers. Both the father and the son have passed away in the mass terror shooting incident, which took the lives of 47 in the 1st Mosque and 2 in the second mosques. Naeem Rashid Video Went Viral on Social Media
Rashid’s video was going viral on social media, along with a screenshot of him from the video released by the terrorist. In the footage, Rashid can be seen launching himself at the gunman in an effort to stop him.

Rashid’s wife, Ambreen, called her husband “a hero“. According to her statement, she said that “My son and my husband are heroes,” “This is the mosque they always went to. I still can’t understand or believe why and how this happened. But, I know that my husband is a hero. He always helped people and even in his last moments, he did what he could to help others.” Rashid and Ambreen has three sons, two of them were not at the mosque at the time of the attack.
Talha Naeem Son of Rashid was Civil Engineer
Talha, the son of Rashid Naeem was a civil engineering graduate, who actually died at the mosque and Rashid passed away at the hospital. The 28-year-old Australian gunman shot his semi-automatic weapon at Rashid after he tried to stop him.
