The move was in response to frequent requests by Saudi expat worshipers for the translation of Friday sermons for the benefit of non-Arabic speaking attendees.

Who delivers the English sermon in the Masjid?
The name of the Imam of the Masjid is Mohammed Abu Shaban, who delivers the sermon after the Friday prayer every week, according to him, the Saudi expat worshipers asked for the translation for the benefit of non-Arabic speaking attendees.
He further said that they started this translation over 10 years ago, it was organized in cooperation with Imam Abdus Salam, who kindly arranged this session with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, for the non-Arabic speakers”.
