Saudi Arabia Announces to Allow Expats To Directly Enter the Kingdom from 10 Banned Countries

Almost every country-imposed travel restriction on the countries with higher Covid-19 patients. Pakistan was included in the ban imposed by the Saudi government. Saudi Arabia has allowed various categories of people from the travel-restricted countries to enter the country directly and lifted the travel ban on Saudis under the age of 18.

According to the State News Agency SPA

An Interior Ministry official said in a statement on Tuesday that,

The Saudi government was making “extraordinary efforts” to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. All decisions are made taking into account the recommendations of the state’s health authorities.

A Route is Provided to the Citizens of the Banned Countries

The statement said that countries from which Saudi Arabia has a direct entry ban and expatriates from 10 banned countries are required to leave the forbidden country before entering the kingdom and enter a country from which travelers are allowed. There is no restriction for those who come to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after spending 14 days there. People from the following categories are allowed to come to the country directly from such countries. The statement said that this category is allowed to travel directly to the state. The Following Category Travelers Can Travel to the Kingdom Without Quarantine

  • Teaching staff in schools.
  • Teaching staff in universities
  • Teaching staff in colleges and institutes,
  • Trainers affiliated to the Institute of Technical and Vocational Training and Trainers affiliated to the Training Institute.
  • Scholarship students.

Hotel Quarantine is Not Compulsory for Vaccinated Travelers

According to the statement, Hotel Quarantine will be exempt for those who have completed the dose of the vaccine within the country or have taken one dose. This exemption will also apply to the families of these categories and their associates. This exemption is for employees of both public and private sectors. The Saudi government has lifted a travel ban on Saudi nationals under the age of 18 in Bahrain, but Saudi citizens will have to abide by pre-determined rules. The Interior Ministry official added in the statement that all people should adhere to the corona virus prevention measures and SOPs and not show negligence in enforcing hygiene regulations.
