However, recently Saudi Arabia suspended international flights along with sea and land ports due to the fear of a new strain of Coronavirus. The Recent Announcement by GACA
The General Authority of Civil Aviation has announced that,
Airlines operating in the airports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are allowed to carry Saudi expat passengers outside the kingdom except countries where new strain Covid-19 has appeared.

Suspension of flights
All international flights have been suspended for a week as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the citizens and Saudi expats working in Saudi Arabia and this period may be extended by another week according to the situation. However, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that “Some flights will be allowed in exceptional circumstances.”

What Precautionary Measures are Required for those who have Returned from European Countries?
Everyone who has returned to the Kingdom after 8th December from any of those countries where the new strain has appeared is required to quarantine themselves for two (2) weeks from the date of arrival and they must undergo a test for Coronavirus during their self-isolation period. And citizens who have returned from or transited within the last three (3) months through any of those high-risk countries are also required to undergo a test. What about the Foreign Flights that are Currently in the Kingdom?
All commercial international flights are suspended temporarily in the country. However, the foreign flights that are currently in the Kingdom are allowed to return.

The movement of goods, commodities and supply chains from countries where the strains of the mutated virus have not appeared will continue as usual.
