Saudi Vision 2030
The Saudi Vision 2030 is established based on three themes: an exciting or a vibrant society, a flourishing and a prosperous economy and a determined and an ambitious nation in the world. The Saudi Vision 2030 is now taking new shape and slowly and steadily bringing the Arab nation into the 21st century. Vision 2030 has several other goals as well, however, one of the principal objectives is the reduction of the country’s dependency on oil revenues and to diversify the country’s economy. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been actively following up for its goal and objectives set in the name of Saudi Vision 2030. The Government of Saudi Arabia has been quite successful up till now in achieving its desired goals. All such motives and directions are taken to boost the overall economy along with ensuring the prosperity and well-being of the citizens and the residents of the country.
Tourism Sites of Saudi Arabia Soon to be Opened for Outside Visitors
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recently shared its plan publically to make its tourism sites completely open and to provide visa-free access to its visitors only from:
- United States of America.
- European countries.
No Visa OR Online Arrival Visa
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia either will offer no visa policy or the visa will be issued to the visitors from one of the abovementioned countries on arrival in the country.

Purpose of Visa-Free Access to the Outside Visitors

Increase in the Income from Tourism
The Country is anticipating that such above-taken initiatives will attract the handsome amount of tourism from all over the world and it is also expected that the revenue from the tourism will increase from approximately $27.9 billion (Figures of FY 2015) to $46.6 billion (by the end of FY 2020). E-Visas Issued Last Year Through Sharek E-Visa Platform
The kingdom of Saudi Arabia has already experienced the e-visa system last year when it was issued for the Formula E- racing event ON December 15, 2018. The International motor racing fans traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attend the said event got 14 days visa. The cost of the E-visa was around SAR 640 (Approximately $170). Tourist Attraction Sites Under Development
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also developing a number of attractions for the tourist, some of which are as follows:
- Amaala, which is set to become a luxury destination on the northwestern coast.
- A mega-theme park is being developed, known as Qiddiyah, an hour’s drive from Riyadh. It anticipates attracting almost 5 million visitors each year when the first phase opens in 2022.
- Mega tourism projects were launched in the ancient desert city of Al-Ula. According to the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, the projects are set to make a $32 billion increase in the GDP, over two million visitors and 38,000 jobs by 2035.
