Saudi Govt. Announces to Open Roza-e-Rasul for General Public After 2 weeks

The Masjid al-Nabvi is the second (2nd) most holy shrine in Islam, after the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, and also the 2nd biggest mosque in the world. It is the resting place of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم).

The Holy Shrine in Masjid Nabvi will be opened after two weeks

Due to the pandemic of Coronavirus, the Holy shrine of Masjid Nabvi was closed but as the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal is going to begins, so it was decided that it should be opened for pilgrims.

How many people will be allowed to enter Roza-e-Athar

75% people will be allowed to enter Roza-e-Athar according to their capacity.



When the Roza-e-Athar in Masjid Nabvi will be Open

Roza-e-Athar in Masjid Nabvi Sharif will be opened to the public after two weeks. According to the sources, The administration of Masjid Nabvi Sharif has said that,

According to the first (1st) Rabi-ul-Awal on Sunday, October 17, the pilgrims will be able to offer prayers in the holy shrine.

From where the Permission will obtain

  • Permission has to be obtained from the ‘Etemarna اعتمرنا’ app for performing prayers and visiting the holy shrine.
  • Visitors will be required to follow social precautions and instructions, including all safety precautions.
  • 75% of the people will be allowed to enter the holy shrine according to their capacity.
  • From where You get the permission for prayers for umrah in Roza Athar.
  • It should be noted that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released the ‘Etemarna اعتمرنا’ app which can be downloaded to get permission for prayers or Umrah in Roza Athar.



Procedure to Get Permit for Umrah & Visit Masjid-e-Nabwi

1 First, Download the اعتمرنا application from here. (Download
2 After download the application select your language.
3 Second step is to get register on the Etemarna اعتمرنا application with National ID or Saudi Iqama no. You will have to use same username & password for Tawakkalna application if you already registered in it.
4 After submitting the form of registration, you will get a verification code on your registered mobile number.

After the completion of registration process, you will have to select the type of applicant.

a). Local citizens.

b). Saudi expats.

c). International pilgrims. (Please note that from Nov 01, 2020 international pilgrims will be allowed to enter).

4). GCC citizens.

After getting registered, you will get 2 options,

a). Performing Umrah.

b). Praying in the Masjid-e-Haram.

7 12 caravans of Umrah pilgrims will be allowed to perform Umrah in 4 hours. Umrah permits will be issued to people between the ages of 18 and 65. Umrah pilgrims will be divided into groups. Each group will be accompanied by a health professional.
8 Please note that children will be allowed to accompany their parents as long as they are added to the Tawakkalna application under the applicant’s dependents. You can also add dependents to accompany them to perform the Umrah. 
9 Select the date and time for Umrah, as each pilgrim will be given 3 hours to complete Umrah.
10 Later, depending on the availability, the user will be given the option of day and time, after which the user will have to gather at the centres to be set up in Makkah on the appointed day and time.



Permissions obtained through Etemarna اعتمرنا App

Earlier, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had clarified that through the Etemarna اعتمرنا app, permission can be obtained for Umrah, prayers in Masjid-ul-Haram, attendance in Masjid-e-Nabawi, Roza-e-Athar, Tawaf, Masjid-e-Qaba and Masjid-e-Sayyid-e-Shuhada.

First Phase of App

However, in the first phase of the app, only the Umrah permit is being issued.
