Previously, It was announced from the General Sports Authority (GSA) that top tennis players in the world, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, agreed to visit Saudi Arabia to play a tennis match in Jeddah to compete for the King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Trophy.
The two players had been due to meet in Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City on December 22, 2018.
Both players confirmed their visit to Saudi Arabia on Twitter.

The General Sports Authority (GSA) announced on Friday,
THE TENNIS MATCH BETWEEN RAFAEL NADAL AND NOVAK DJOKOVIC IN JEDDAH HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO RECENT INJURY OF NADAL. THE DOCTORS HAVE RECOMMENDED HIM FOR THE IMMEDIATE SURGERY WHICH HAS ULTIMATELY FORCED HIM TO WITHDRAW FROM THE AFOREMENTIONED EVENT.
It was also mentioned by GSA that the recovery of Nadal might take beyond the scheduled match on December 22, 2018. Therefore, the said event will be rescheduled.
The General Sports Authority (GSA) will announce the new date of the tennis match, in Jeddah, after the proper recovery of Nadal Djokovic.
