The Power & Abilities of Jinn & their effect on the Human Being

There are so many people in the world who don’t believe the concept of jinn. But, Muslims accept the existence of the jinn, throughout history man has always a deep attraction for the supernatural and the unseen things. The true explanation of such a world comes from Islam. The origins of the Jinn can be traced from the Quran and the Sunnah, Allah says:

“We created the jinn before that from the smokeless flame of fire” Quran 15:26-27

Power and Abilities

The supernatural and unseen things have power and abilities. One of the unbelievable power of the jinn is that they are able to take on any physical form they like. Thus, they can appear as human, animals, trees, and anything else. Allah has given them these power as a test for them. Thousands of people have sighted strange looking creatures all over the world. Mind and Bodies of other Creatures

The mind and bodies of the other creature (jinn) is also a power which the Jinn have utilized greatly over the centuries. This is something which has been prohibited to them as it is a great oppression to possess another being. Human possession is something which has always brought about great attention. The mind and bodies of the other creature are totally invisible but we can feel their presence in the human body. Symptoms of Possession

Islam has mentioned some of the symptoms from which it may be known whether a person has been possessed by the jinn. They are not definitive in other cases. The symptoms are. The person reacting very harshly and strongly when hearing Adan or the verse of Quran, they being alone keeping away from people and behaving strangely, the devil who may be dwelling in him may speak when Quran recited over.

1). Personality Disorder

When a person rapidly changes personalities may be the person laugh, cry, or become angry at the most inappropriate of times. When a person is afflicted by a devil, you can observe their entire feature twisting and changing. 2). Sudden Behavioral Change

Sign of sudden behavioral change is also a symptom of an inward attitude. If the person has this type of qualities maybe he survive with something evil such as feeling safe from the plot of Shaytaan and getting carries away in sin and relying on Allah’s mercy, showing evil behavior and foul language so as to make people fear you and avoid your evil, being preoccupied with the faults of others whilst ignoring one’s own fault, thinking badly of Muslims.

3). Depression and Anxiety

Depression used to refuse sadness, the person will have superhuman strength when he or she is under possession. They lift things, the Shaytaan pushes you in the darkness of depression. But when you are at your lowest in Emaan, faith in Allah is the best way to get rid of all anxiety and depression. Muslims is to thankful at all times and have complete faith in Allah. 4). Frightening Nightmares

In this type of condition, the person may be seeing various kind of creatures such as ghosts or apparitions, seeing oneself falling from a high place, seeing people in a strange form, and maybe in a form of snakes, in this act, the person may be seeing someone who threatens him.

A person should not be regarded as being possessed by jinn if any of these symptoms occur. No one can be certain that a person has been possessed by jinn until after the Quran has been recited.

As Muslims, we Know

Only through Islam, we can simply understand such phenomena of jinn. We know as a Muslims that Jinn possesses people for many reasons. Sometimes it is because the Jinn or its family has been hurt accidentally. It could be because the Jinn has fallen in love with the person. However, most of the time possession occurs because the Jinn is simply malicious and wicked.

Jinn have free will, like Human

Quran indicates that like human beings the jinn, both believing and unbelieving, have free choice. They can choose to obey God or to rebel and in that senses they are similar to human beings except for the fact that they are similar to human being except for the fact that they are non-material. In fact, we find that in the Quran it talks about the jinn receiving messenger to coming to guide them just like humans.

Protection from the Jinn

We cannot see them but they can see us, the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) taught us many ways to protect ourselves from their harm, such as seeking refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytaan. God in the Quran says: “My lord, I seek refuge with You from the whisperings of devil and I seek refuge with you, my lord they may attend (or come near) me” (Quran 23:97-98) Also Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Do not make your houses like graves, for Shaytaan runs away from a house”.
