Saudi Arabia Announces to Impose 24 Hours Curfew in 6 Districts of Jeddah

Every day the situation of the Coronavirus becomes worst. Another hour, another minute Coronavirus (Covid-19) has become the biggest headline with rapidly changing economic, social, and mental challenges around the globe. With countries like china known as 3rd superpower is feeling helpless and trying its best to combat the deadly disease, other countries believe in taking the necessary precautionary steps to avoid the incidence of the lethal virus in the country.

Saudi Arabia is very keen on protecting its citizens and Saudi expats from Coronavirus, which is depicted by the various statements and orders passed by the authorities over a while, from restricting traveling to avoiding gathering at mosques and Holy mosques.

The country is trying its level best to have no case of Coronavirus. Under these circumstances, a new order has been issued by the King Salman to imposes a curfew in Saudi Arabia.

The Recent Announcement by the King Salman

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that,

King Salman on Saturday issued an order to impose 24 hours curfew in 6 districts of Jeddah (Kilo14, AlMahjar, AlQurayat, Ghulail, Kilo13 and Petromin)starting from Saturday April 04,2020 until further notice, to control the spread of the COVID-19 disease.



The Earlier Announcement by the King Salman

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that,

King Salman on Sunday issued an order changing a curfew timings in Jeddah starting from Sunday March 29,2020 3:00 pm to 6:00 am for until further notice, to control the spread of the COVID-19 disease.

In this partial curfew in Jeddah there would be no entry or exit to and from the said areas during the period



Certain Activities are Exempted from Curfew in Saudi Arabia

A subsequent statement issued by the Ministry of Interior and carried by SPA said those excluded from the curfew are workers from the following vital industries and government services. Here are the following sector/ activities exempted from curfew.

Sectors Description
Health sector Such as Pharmacies and the like, Medical Clinics (dispensaries), Hospitals, Laboratories, Factories, Factories and Materials and Medical devices.
Food Sector Such as Catering and Supermarkets and Poultry and Vegetable Shops, Meat, Bakeries, Food factories and Laboratories.
Media Sector It means various means.
Transportation Sector Such as those Transporting goods, Parcels, Customs Clearance, Warehouses, Logistics Services, Supply Chains for the Health sector, the Food sector, and Port operations.
Energy Sector Such as Gas stations and Emergency services for the Electric company.
Financial services and insurance sector Such as direct Accidents (Najm), Urgent health insurance services (approvals), and other insurance services.
Telecom sector Such as Internet and Communication network operators.
Water Sector Such as the Water company emergency services and home Drinking Water delivery service.
E-Commerce Activities Such as those working in the electronic procurement applications for the excluded activities and those working in the delivery applications of the excluded activities.
Accomodation Services Such as Hotels and Furnished Apartments.
